6) Children’s & teens’ privacy (COPPA)

Our programs serve girls ages 9–13 and young women 14–21.

  • For minors under 13: online forms should be completed by a parent/guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

  • For teens 13–17: we encourage involvement of a parent/guardian.
    If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information without consent, contact us and we’ll delete it.

7) Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal/reporting obligations. Typical retention:

  • Contact/form records: up to 3 years after last interaction (unless you request deletion sooner).

  • Donation/receipt records: up to 7 years (tax/compliance).

  • Email/SMS engagement data: up to 2 years or until you unsubscribe.

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we continuously improve our practices but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Access/Update/Delete: You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing letstalkaboutitsouthflorida@gmail.com.
California (CPRA) & Virginia rights: residents may have additional rights to know, access, delete, correct, and limit certain uses. We do not “sell” personal info as defined by CPRA. Submit requests via email or phone.
EEA/UK: you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict/ object to processing, and data portability; you can also withdraw consent at any time (does not affect prior processing). You may lodge a complaint with your local data authority.

10) Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control

Our Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, but we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) where legally required.
